Poplar Springs Fire Department

Generally, South Carolina Law requires drivers approaching stopped emergency vehicles or emergency scenes to move over to a different lane of travel and reduce their speed.  When unable to change lanes, drivers should greatly reduce their speed while  proceeding through the scene.  Drivers are also required to obey traffic directions being given by emergency officials on scene.
